Cadillac
Just like the luxury car, the Cadillac has all the bells and whistles you could possibly want in a piece of exercise equipment and it is big and comfortable. There are so many elements to the machine: leg springs, arm springs, fuzzy loops to hang from, a push-through bar to stretch you out, and even a trapeze. Pilates lore has it that Joseph Pilates created the prototype Cadillac to enable bed ridden patients to exercise. The design has evolved over the years, as have the exercises and stretches one can do on the Cadillac.
Reformer
The Reformer is a piece of resistance exercise equipment designed by Joseph Pilates. It consists of a platform that moves back and forth along a carriage. Resistance is provided by the exerciser's body weight and by springs attached to the carriage and platform.
Spring Wall
Our Spring Walls consist of a board attached to the wall, complete with the springs from a Pilates Cadillac. The board is approximately 20 inches wide and six feet tall and with springs of various lengths and tensions. Along the sides there are 10 pairs of eyebolts where you attach the springs. One of the great benefits of the Spring Wall is the ability to change the tension to suit each client and each exercise. Generally, the higher the spring is set on the board, the greater the tension. Similarly, the further away from the board you position yourself, the greater the tension. So different people can use different positions and settings while executing the same exercise in a class!
Stability Chair
The Stability Chair is a multifunctional piece of equipment. Ideal for those needing to stay in a seated or upright position, the Stability Chair helps rebalance muscles and provides a full body workout.
